  • Can I move the spinning-reel handle to the other side?

Yes. Every Profishiency spinning reel has a reversible handle: unscrew the handle or the cap on the opposite side, move the handle over, and snug it down without muscling the threads. Steps vary a little by model, so peek at the manual.

  • Can I use braided line on a Profishiency spinning reel?

Yes. Every Profishiency spinning reel is braid-compatible, and models run aluminum braid-ready spools. Wind braid on under firm tension and fill to the same level you would with mono, just below the lip.

  • How should I set up backing, braid, and a leader on a spinning reel?

Backing first: enough mono to keep the braid from slipping and to avoid burying expensive braid in a deep spool. Join with a slim knot like an FG or uni-to-uni, wind the braid on under real tension, and stop just shy of the lip. Add only as much leader as the technique needs, tied with a knot that clears the guides cleanly. The finished fill should still sit within the reel's capacity.

  • Why are magnesium reels a special concern in saltwater?

Magnesium buys premium lightness and rigidity; it's why our A12 magnesium spinning reels feel the way they do. The tradeoff is chemistry. Once a coating chips and saltwater reaches bare magnesium, corrosion moves fast, faster than it would on aluminum. Keep magnesium reels away from salt spray where you can, rinse and dry immediately after any exposure, and touch up nicks instead of ignoring them.
